As small as this cow I photographed in the Peak District a while ago?

Just been looking for cycle routes around here

a website called bikemap came up with a ride from here out towards Speke and back

I looked
and it goes along a VERY busy "almost motorway"
it dies have a sort of hard shoulder on it - but it is covered in grit and general detritus
and it also takes you past the junction to the M57 where you would have to proceed along the dotted line and just hope any traffic saw you

basically no cyclist is safe there
and 99.9% of us would never ride along it anyway

I have been directed along similar ones in Runcorn and walked back up to the local roads - they are REALLY dangerous

funnily enough these lead to the new bridge - and just before the bridge there is a "No Cycling" sign
and I always think - no cyclist will ever need that!!

Just applied on Mrs D's behalf to renew her blue badge.

The website for our local Carncil advises not to apply any earlier than 6 weeks before the expiry of the old one- if you do the application will be ignored.

OK.

So I apply one day inside of 6 weeks, and at the end received a message to the effect that applications can take 12 weeks to process, and in some instances longer.

So that potentially leaves the disabled 6 weeks or more with no blue badge. What a bunch of thoughtless, useless, incompetent, ars...

Any way to put the bike in your car and drive to a completely different start point ?
