Good Morning from a grey but dry Dorset. Speaking of dry, we're heading to Weymouth this morning for our " Second Friday " get together. The agenda is The Boot 🍺, the Kings Arms 🍺, lunch at Rona's then the Dolphin🍺 before catching the train home

Do you mean the old Rhyl High School?

Well - the one that was there in 2003 and had been there for a while

It was knocked down shortly after I left

I mean - really - I wasn;t THAT bad!!!

so there is a new modern looking one there now
and the roof probably doesn;t leak like my room did
(why do IT rooms full of computers have to be the ones that leak????_)

to be fair - it did need knocking down as the building were old and not built very well

used to be the grammar school I think - back in the very old days

Morning all, bit of a lie in as we had wine last night and stayed up a bit later than normal.

Bit overcast here but not raining although we may have a few showers.

Not going to the beer festival now as we had wine last night so we have started getting the plastic protective film off the Eames chair arms as it's partly worn off and cracked.

Will also give the turbo Bianchi a fettle as it was a bit glitchy yesterday and I need to tighten the pedal tension and fit a front brake on as it was also a bit wobbly when out of the saddle.

Good man. You dont have to tell Tesco that you now shop at Waitrose. Screw 'em. I had a goon visit earlier this year - I redirected them back off my property and closed the door.

I dont miss live TV one bit. I dont mind paying for essential services even if I don't use them, but a succession of filthy perverts on the payroll and repeats of Roger Moore era James Bond films every Christmas aren't enough to tempt me to buy an aerial.

Which channel are the filthy perverts on ? I've scrolling through and cant find them!

I think with Mrs D its M&S, Waitrose, Sainsbury's in an emergency, and the servants are free to scavenge for scraps at Tesco, Lidl, etc.

I have been frequenting M&S food recently

SMWBO like the wholemeal bread - and it is basically the same price as the ones from Tesco

but the gluten free stuff that I have to have is WAY too expensive and just not that much better than Tesco

Sainsburgs don;t have a shop anywhere near

and I reckon Waitrose would sack any staff member that came within 10 miles of us!!!

(have I ever mentioned that I used to sometimes shop at the same Waitrose and the Princess of Wales???)

So ASDA is out then??

and what about Lidl and Aldi??

interesting to see her pecking order??

We shop at Tesco, well they deliver to us. I think it's often a case of who you are used to.
If we had one in area we'd shop at Waitrose although might have to sell a kidney.
We have an M&S within reach so will get stuff there sometimes and no question it is better quality/nicer a lot of the time.
We have shopped in Aldi/Lidl when dropped kids off in early years at Uni as they were closest supermarket and it all seemed fine.
