Time to say good morning. I went to bed late (for me) and thought I would sleep till at least 8 but its 5 and here I am.
Weather has improved although the forecast has changed from dry to 25% chance of rain.
My legs are behaving today so I will listen to Tony Blackburn then get a pre breakfast walk in.........Saturday is normally a full English type one

Running?
Not for me: I peaked in 1985 when I did the Milton Keynes Half Marathon - run 300yds, go round the roundabout 🤣
Did manage to crack 2 hours….by 2 seconds 🤪

Well, we didn’t take Thursday off, but instead managed a rather wet 14km, which meant we could finish walking the King Charles III path round the Isle of Wight yesterday with a big 30km day in ferocious winds, luckily behind us most of the day. A total of 120km, 160k steps and 27hrs actual walking time over the 5 days 💪
Beers were drunk…legs are aching a LOT!
Considering a swim today, followed by the Midsummer Fayre and a pub dinner.
Then we rest 🫣

Good Morning. 💨💨💨💨💨 Goodgrief it's windy. My planned ride with the club has been abandoned. It's supposed to be fun! Well, what's to do then? I'm not quite sure but will find some bits and pieces that need attention and will get out for a walk. I considered the gym but after three days of a rather hefty barbell routine have decided this wouldn't be a good alternative to cycling, perhaps tomorrow.

Something interesting has happened. I'm sure all you experienced retirees know this, I do but ignored it, but we seem to have a few newbies around. A bit of advice. Don't take on too much. Over the last few days I've felt better in myself than I have in a long, long time. Given our family situation this is quite a statement. Why? Well, two reasons really. I'm sleeping well for 6 - 7 hours a night. There's no reason to get out of bed or be awake. Yes, I might be up and about at 4.30am but I'm often in bed and asleep before 10.00pm - Spokey will laugh! The reason I'm sleeping is because I have nothing that must be done. Over recent months I've tackled a huge list that needed attention and crucially avoided saying "yes" when asked to take on something else! Retirement can be busy but there shouldn't be pressure. Don't forget the "me time"

There you go, Paul's sage advice for the day  Ironing next, just to come back to reality.......................
