I've been out on my trike first time this year
I checked the brakes and adjusted them
checked the chain, yeah it was still there.........
the computer wasn't working, so I had to recalibrate that, I nearly forgot how to do it
and off I went, it felt very strange at first being so low to the ground, but that was soon forgotten
as my knees started to ache, it, been a year since I last used it, and I'm a year older too.
Anyway we only did 5.7 miles and the trike behaved it's self, so a longer ride will be on the cards.
Oh the computer was OK as I checked with Garmin and it said 5.7 miles too

Wish it would go cold. It’s only 16 here but feeling really humid. Just back a short wander and sat down with a cold drink. All the windows are open.

Bike ride done, only 10 miles but the legs felt good.

Afternoon all . It’s been a lovely day so far here in Coventry . I was supposed to go volunteering this morning , but they decided just to have a walk instead as grumpy old me decided it wasn’t worth driving 10 miles just for that. So spent the time tidying up a hedge at home instead, after going for coffee and breakfast with Mrs exlaser of course .
Now sat at home with a cold drink recovering after sailing last night . It was ok , wind was good ( which is a novelty on a Wednesday evening ) and we had a good turn out of boats 😀. Finish fourth , very close behind the first three and most importantly AHEAD of Mrs exlaser. I got loads of congratulations for how well I sailed and for not retiring 😀 ( I may have mentioned I have a little bit of a reputation for finding new reasons for retiring 😂😂) But as I told them, the one thing I will NEVER do is retire when am ahead of Mrs exlaser . I have to say she has taken it very well losing to me two out of the last three Wednesdays.
I would like to say this has always been the case over our married life but it would be a lie . 😂 The problem is she is a much better sailor than me so just doesn’t expect to be behind me .
It’s the main reason we no longer sail the same class of dinghy, so if I do finish ahead of her, she can rationalise it by thinking my boat must have been better suited to the course and the conditions ( and there is some truth in that. )
But the bottom line is it just helps marital harmony. 😀

If that is what this month is, then yes.

Seriously, it is chilly, thick clag and bucketing down. With high humidity it always feels colder than the actual temperature.

The heating has been set on for an hour to take the chill off.

Open fire will be on tonight.
