Good morning, rain overnight and no hedgehog activity. Today is " Harry Paye " day, celebrating Poole's pirate heritage 🏴☠️🏴☠️. Celebrations on the Quay and music outside the pubs. Quite amusing getting on the bus into town and seeing several of the passengers in full pirate outfits 😁. We will pop down later, must not drink too much, lunchtime drinking will see me asleep in the chair for most of the afternoon.

Good morning. Hello. AWOL the last couple of days as they've been strangely busy, in a good way, not a bad one. Anyway after a hot sweaty, night it's pleasantly cool as there's been a shower or two. A nice day is forecast at 19⁰ but feels like 15⁰ which brings up the cyclist's dilemma. I'll sweat which means at some point I'll get cold. ???????? Out on the club ride today. I've seen the rider list. My buddy and I may go our own sweet way.
Where's @classic33 ??? Have I missed something? Unobservant. Is he OK?
We were on nursery pick up in north Manchester yesterday afternoon and child mind at her house till 8.00pm. Fine. Collect child. Back to house. The key safe is in place - it isn't attached to the wall but moved around to different spots - I've never asked why. It won't open. After 15 minutes of frustration, we did explain to #2SP, she understood, we rang Daddy. It went like this:
"Have you used the right code?" Yes.
"Did you press the little black button?" - Paul thinks "how many AirBnBs have I stayed in?
"It was working this morning" - Paul thinks "it feckin' isn't now"
"Have you tried banging it in on the ground?" Paul hurls it into the ground!!!
It was agreed we would take her to our house and Daddy would pick her up later. Excellent. #2 is happy "Can I watch Dip Dap?" Yes! To get to the end of the story, she's 2½, we're driving through the village before ours, about one mile to home:
#2 "Nana and Granddad's house"
Nana "Nearly there now"
#2 "Have you got a key"
Granddad just about kept the car on the road. Hysterical!
@classic33 Is seemingly alive and well but inhabiting other forums than this one.
I noticed him missing in action a month or two back, but he's OK.

Pleasant riverside trail walk done while it was cool and quiet. Just the usual few dog walkers and joggers.

Veg sausage bap and two coffees scoffed.
Washing up done and got bike and stuff out ready to set off early tomorrow before it gets too hot ,bike will need a quick check this afternoon.
About to go shopping and see what's occurring at the Cathedral House and garden show as there's a 'plant fair' there but it might be for ticket holders only and were not interested in the rest of it.
Otherwise will see how hot it gets regarding doing anything constructive (or destructive!) in the garden.
Tonight is wine and cheese and possibly a Pearl Jam dvd on very loud as the neighbours are away

I used to enjoy a lunchtime drink but it did wipe me out for rest of the day
I have either a half or a pint most Wednesday lunchtimes when I go out with the neighbour......he drinks fruit cider which I had a sip of euk!

Off to the Watchet Food & Drink festival this morning. Will meet up with our mates from Minehead, who are coming in on the train.

Ive just nipped to Aldi. Cant believe i had the fire on 1st thing, its very warm out there now.
Apparently I am about to have a cooked breakfast, courtesy of my daughter. I didnt expect it as she is going to Nottingham later to meet her brother (my son by coincidence) as they are going to see Take That in concert.......a free ticket as someone backed out and gave it for nowt.
