I used to enjoy a lunchtime drink but it did wipe me out for rest of the day
I have either a half or a pint most Wednesday lunchtimes when I go out with the neighbour......he drinks fruit cider which I had a sip of euk!

Those fruit ciders are the work of the devil and very much remind me of the furore over " Alcopops ".
Westons Vintage organic @ 8.2% is my favourite of the ciders, failing that, Aspalls do a lovely crisp dry cider too 🍎

8.2%.
I have a long time friend that used to drink 11% lagers.....I tried one once, I just couldn't drink it. I like a 5% lager or a 4% ale, something with body to it.

Morning folks :okay: had a pleasant spin [mostly] over the hills this morning though i did have a peculiar clunk going over a bump...stopped to investigate but couldnt see anything amiss, later stopping for a drink my bottle wasnt there! the holder had broken so on to ebay in a while. Did have a close shave on the A9... a motorhome squeezed past inches off my elbow...i used the 'c' word very loudly, i hope they heard me...
Roses are growing well and my november planted ones will be flowering soon :okay:

I made some Ginger Beer once; fermented it out & kept feeding it..
By my calculations it was approximately 13%

Strangely, it made me fall over in the garden 😂

Back from shopping and thrifting; nothing in the chazzers and ditto at the plant fair ,it was free entry but nothing really there that we needed.

Was also some WW2 Willy's jeeps on display as there was some bunfight on as well.

Years ago I used to brew my own beer......5 gallons as a time. I used a large plastic sort of bin then transfer it to bottles (before I got a barrel). I always put extra sugar in to make it stronger.
So,,,,, one time I decided to brew 10 gallons. I put all the ingredients in but the found the bin would only hold 7 gallons. The result was liquid dynamite !!!
We had friends staying. He and I had 2 pints.
During the night his wife woke to find him climbing out of the upstairs window.....she dragged him back and saved his life.
