A very pleasant 16°C here at the moment supposed to rise to around 20°C by late afternoon so a nice ride to the harbour cafe for coffee and cake for me today.

Take it you're nearer the coast? I would love to live nearer the sea as there's nearly always a cooling breeze compared to inland.

Cool start here after some overnight rain and a little bit of thunder .

Two Coffees and eggs on toast for breakfast and then decided to pop to the 'trose and get some provisions as it's going to be hotter later in the week.

Got the Stayer sorted yesterday so just waiting for some tpu patches to arrive so I can finish repairing the remanding tubes but not much else will be done today.

Going to be cooler tomorrow so may hop on the turbo early in the morning to keep the legs moving as nothing will happen Thursday or Friday.

Just curious, does it cost a lot to run ?

It's doesn't make an appreciable difference to our bill. Its a heat pump, and thats a fairly efficient means of shifting heat from one place to another compared to heating air directly.

In the winter if im home alone I run it in reverse as a heater and just keep whichever single floor im on warm (house is a 3 storey job) and its a lot more economical than running the gas central heating.

Although I don't have solar at rhe new Drago Towers (had 5kW so,ar at the old place) im actually spending less on energy as the new gaff is so well insulated and the appliances all modern and efficient, just like me ;)

Ride done. Was home by 10am but still boiling as so humid. Nice though.
A mere 27miles and 2200ft but that was plenty 🥵. I drank both bidons dry which in a ride of less than 2 hours was something.

Good morning from a very sunny and breezy Weymouth. Yep, it's hot but there's a strong onshore breeze, around 15mph, which is keeping our AirBnB cool and makes the temperature reasonable, the highest we have forecast is 26 with a feels like of 27, home is 30 and 30 but little breeze. Seems like we're in a good spot.

Yesterday was a wander around Weymouth, delicious breakfast at Pascal's Brasserie - "Flat White please" "No. Expresso or Americano" No messing about, love it. A long walk along the sandy beach and water so warm we're both tempted to swim..............Mrs P often needs tempting into the Med, that's how warm the sea is off Weymouth. Around 2.00pm I avoided the discussion about is the tide going in or out. I mentioned the tide was receeding quite quickly, Mrs P responded that it was coming in and pointed out those people are closer to the water than when we walked by before.........................I didn't state the blindingly obvious that they had got up and moved! Some hours later I mentioned high tide was at 9.00pm.

A visit to Durdle Dor may be on the cards today

Can get a bit busy at Durdle Door but the views are stunning. Some nice pubs the other side of the harbour if you go over the bridge.
