Right, housework O'clock.

On a Sunday! :ohmy:

Day of no work & rest in this retirement household. :smile:

TBH, most days here are days of rest, we have a very unstructured (ie, do it when it is desperate) approach to housework, gardening, DIY, car cleaning, etc.

A belated good morning from a sunny Dorset. Feeling it a bit as the temperature has dropped to 25, might need to get my cardigan out of the wardrobe 🤔.
Other granny is collecting granddaughter after lunch and taking her to Avon Country Park so I will be able to recover from a hectic weekend 🤞

Morning folks :okay: an enjoyable spin over the hills this morning and back along the A9 which is getting really rough...its necessary to stand up on the pedals in parts like riding an MTB on a mountain track :rolleyes:
Just discovered a really nice Greek yoghurt 'Lancashire Farm', very creamy and thick, could probably turn the pot upside down without spillage. went very well with chopped banana/walnuts/cranberries/clemantine for breakfast :okay:

Glad it's not just me. I can easily go weeks without doing any serious housework.....and the car has green stuff growing on it. :laugh:

We have friends who are very structured:

Same meal each day of the week every week,

Same day every week for housework & gardening (weather dependant),

Same shopping day every week,

Cars cleaned every other week,

Holidays at same place on the same week every year.

Each to their own, of course. But not for us. Had enough structure during our careers!

Yesterday afternoon was mostly spent lying on the bed in the coolest bedroom reading the Mick Wall Black Sabbath book and then wine (an Austrian white for a change) plus snacks in the evening watching Rear Window.

Today is a lot cooler although still having around the 28-30c mark.
Was supposed to get out for a spin today but found the rear tyre flat again on the AllRoad :banghead:and then when I got the Faran out the CatEye bar end light had fallen out and the bar tape unravelled:dry:🤦‍♂️ ;decided that fate was against me so ditched the ride and set about sorting the issues so replacement tube in (after triple checking the rim and tyre and finding the seam had split on the tube) and bar tape replaced so hopefully get out tomorrow.

A quick nip in to town instead and got some wine in Waitrose as they had a four for the price of three offer on and got this at a chaser;

Popped in to the garden for some broad beans and beetroot for tonight and spotted the flower open on Canna 'General Eisenhower';
