I guess you'll easily earn your NHS reward for 30 minutes a day walking @Mo1959

I wonder what we could win.. Hmmmm..
A doctors appointment?
A MaccyD voucher?
🤔

I wonder how many microseconds after it was announced it was before Strava rang the relevant department offering to help monitor it??

after all - it is ain;t on Strava it didn;t happen

Oh and how many minutes on a bike counts as 30 minutes walking???

and how many cafe stops does the rewards count for
and does that include the Dinky Cafe boat on the Bridgewater canal near me???

SO many questions!!!!

Back from the park. A load of people under the trees that border the park sheltering from the sun. Spent £16 on bread and cakes from the new bakery that opens up the road in a couple of weeks. The Falcon lady was here again 😎

That was similar to my first thought, ie, they missed a trick by limiting it to walking, they should have included a set time of cycling, say 1hour. It would have not only given an incentive to exercise, but, also an incentive to cycle.

Season finale of Dutton Ranch was good. Lots of fists flying, a good old fashioned firefight brought up to date neo western style, brother murdering brother, and a highly excellent cliffhanger.

The cowboys are in essence a mafia family on horseback, beating up, murdering, or burning down the houses of anyone who crosses them, which does seem to be rather a lot of folk, and the plot seems to have set up season two a treat.

Id love to live somewhere where I could drive a big ass pickup and wear a cowboy hat and look normal, but sadly that'll just remain a dream.

Well the big ass pick-up is getting pretty normal around here and there were two blokes in one of the chazzers yesterday in western style clothing .

It did made me think of this though and was tempted to say it to them ,

Today was up a bit later to a coolish and overcast start to the day and the sun has only really broken out in the last couple of hours.

After coffee and breakfast (omelette, mushrooms and veggie sausages) watered the garden and topped up the pond then cleaned the cassette and chainrings off the Faran. Chain approaching getting worn so changed it as I have a 150k Audax next Saturday, will give it a spin in the week and if there is any jumping under load I'll pop a new cassette on.

After another coffee and the washing up I did a bit of tidying in the garden and cleaned the bucket and sponge plus a few other items I use to clean the bike.

Afternoon did a bit more sorting out of various things and then an hour on the indoor trainer to give the legs a spin and properly test the Zwift click and cog I got last week.

Haircut and a swab down then pots and beetroot from the garden with a Quorn peppered 'steak'.

Executive decision made to have wine tonight and as I'll be easing up on the alcohol before Saturday's Audax.
