#2 grandson was (with my encouragement) all for Liverpool.........then when he was approx 8 the kids at school influenced him to be a Utd fan.
Ive spent many years trying to show him the error of his ways but to no avail.

I should admit that when I was little I was an Everton supporter

I even had a wooley elephant in their colours knitted by my aunt

Of course, I realised when I got older and changed to Liverpool

I think I was about 4 or 5 - but it was a dark time in my life

But I never sunk to the depths of Man U

I don't follow club football, only England Int games.

I really want them to win, in Bellingham and Kane among others they have some genuine world class players.

As for the diving and pretending to be injured, it's woeful. Unfortunately every single team does it. Not an excuse but there it is.
What I don't understand is why so much holding and pushing is tolerated at corner kicks, it's ridiculous.

My granddaughter is/was an FA accredited referee at the age of 15.
The abuse she got, from the young age group she ref'd for, made her decide to give it up.
Incidentally, the abuse was not just from players but also their adult coaches!

You could squash player abuse by introducing a rule that if a player or coach abuses a referee then a penalty is immediately awarded against the team. You could spice it up a bit by making the abuser go in goal while the penalty is taken.

Similar behaviour here in Oz in various sports
My advice would be, especially with younger referees (who are in quite short supply) is to leave the pitch. The game is effectively stopped: no points to either team. If the coach is the abusive one, remove his coaching certificate, if he has one, or remove his DBS pass

Popped round to the Co-op for a few things.

I bought some Jacobs Club biscuits to have with my cuppa. Do you know they don't actually have real chocolate any more. Palm oil crap chocolate flavoured coating. It's time the food industry got a real shake up and made at least some products with decent ingredients. I would rather pay another quid and have real chocolate than pretend crap.

New greenhouse still hasn't arrived. Raised a PayPal dispute.

Customer service these days is non existent.

Lawns need cutting - a working day!

The Berberis hedge has gone berserk, too. Plus it is now interlaced with Brambles.

I think I will pay someone to do it and at the same time clear the one-time veggie patch that it hides. A detestable job.

Cooler, but mad wind, here.

Have a good one!

Mo, not sure if I've already said this but you can be a coop club member. It costs £1.00 which you get back on your 1st shop. As a member they price match Aldi on many items eg chicken breasts or eggs etc. Each week you get extra discount of various items, some are good imo, some dont interest me.
Worth thinking about.
Edit
Ive just noted some of this week's.
25p off any Walkers product
50p off any Schwepps product
40p off coop pies, pasties or quiche.
