Stokes Tomato Ketchup is the favourite of mine, BH prefers Brown Sauce and we both occasionally have sweet chilli sauce.

Cool and overcast this morning but sunny and warm now.

Did some watering with the cans as the hose pipe ban is in force and then out early-ish for a 83k ride before it got too hot.

Apparently there are strong signs of cooler and above average rainfall towards the end of July*, just right for the school holidays !

*According to Weatherman Liam from Channel 4 on his Instagram post.

Been for a mooch around town with Mrs SD - had a few things to do and lumped them into a proper pensioner high-activity day! 25.5°C.

Grandson (23) has Devil's Itch - extreme reaction to too much sun, down in the SE. Possibly self-inflicted rather than innocent victim.

Coffee price rise shock - we usually pay around £7 for two coffees. Today: 1 large latte and 1 std iced Americano was £8.50! Scandalous!

Be careful in the sun and avoid Devil's Itch, all.

I read that online and thought there was a fair amount of BS in the article, imo.

I have heard about some private schools where the "presents" are a status symbol to the parents and they compete to give the best

This was from a private school close to the first one that I taught in

Some of the ex-teachers from there worked at ours and confirmed this was common there

things like expensive wine and spirits - even though most school say "no alcohol"

I went to a private school - although MANY years ago and I remember nothing like that in those days!!
