What?

I seemed to have missed all today here

Anyway - I AM ALONE!!!

SWMBO is out overnight with her friend
there is a "Celebration of Life" of someone she used to know

sounds like a get together of old friend followed by a no holds barred piss up to me
especially with THAT friend (she is lovely - but she comes from a family that knows what to do with alcohol!!!)

anyway so I had to decide what to do

clearly went for a ride
but first went fo get dinner steak, mushroon sauce (no peppercorn I could have) and chips

and I knew there was some wine in the cupboard

then off

just starting over The Bridge and I heard some music
The Snig is just below the approach and I heard the subtle dulset tone of proper Status Quo

basically my first True Love music wise

I had looked and there is a James tribute act there this evening - yes I know who??

but it truns out that a Quo tribute was on early afternoon
so I stayed on the road and listened until they had a break - too much bass but pretty good

then went off for a ride

nice ride - no-one waiting for me to come home
managed to not stop at The Ferry on the way back
If I did noft have Coeliac and would have to interigate the ar staff about gluten I woul dhave stopped but anyway

then came home and had a bath

spent a while reading in teh garden under the trees with a beer

then cooked the steak and mysteriously a bottle of win opened itself

anyway

Hope she is having a good time

I needed this - just don;t tell her!!

I got quite upset earlier this afternoon. We were on our way to Currys, on Llandudno promenade when Mrs G noticed a lot of seagulls circling around a lamp post.
I stopped the car and we could see a seagull trying to get free from some wire on top of the said lamp post.
There was no way of getting up it to free as it is quite high, so I went to the police station to report it but they were not interested but gave me the phone number for the local RSCPA . I phoned them but they were not interested either but gave me the phone number for the seagull society. I phoned them to but they were closed.
I felt useless and so sorry I couldn't do anything to save it as I can't stand seeing any animals suffer.
On our way back from town, the seagull was still there but hanging dead from that wire. So sad.
In future, I will never give anything to the RSPCA as they are useless and heartless.

Well I found it, mid 20's when I got here now down to a much more pleasant 18°C, with a nice blue sky with a yellow thing in it. A nice view over to Arran with the Kintyre Peninsula behind it through the heat haze. Photos of proof will have to wait, I've just finished watching stage 14 of the tour and the wifi was good enough for that but no seemingly good enough to up load a photo.

It is sad to see a proper wild thing die on bad circumstance due to human messing about with stuff

even a seagull - which - especially in Llandudno - are a pain

but they are still wild creatures - and deserve better
