A quick good morning.
As I have said, Vistry are in the midst of building 1200 houses on local green belt land (no brown envelopes there then) and in doing so they have wrecked a public footpath which used to form part of my walk but is now unusable.
I am meeting a local councillor at 06.30 to look into it and see if Vistry can be forced to rectify it.
I will report back.

Good morning from a pleasantly mild Dorset. Stayed up later than usual to watch the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony which we both enjoyed. Mrs Tkk on the tail end of the lurgy so there is no yoga class for her this morning. I will wander down into Poole to the plant nursery for a browse but apart from that nothing planned.

A lot of building going on here and I get to deal with developers as a parish councillor, and can confirm Vistry are a PITA. Not onky that, theyre the lowest quality developers, cramming in the most houses with the least off road parking, and do their best to avoid meeting statutory obligations unless really pressed over it.

Good morning all.
Another warm day today, 25⁰ gorecast with a little cloud cover.
Crazy golf this morning followed by lunch in one of our favoured pub come restaurants.

Morning all :hello:

Hedge chap came round yesterday and quoted on the job; he's coming back this afternoon to do the work - hopefully after we've had our post pub nap.

I think I'd avoid putting stuff like that in print if I were an elected official. Just my opinion.

Wow, that would make me feel old!

Had my two a bit later in life so my eldest is 23 and youngest 21

However our next door neighbours are our age, thry have three grandchildren and their son has just turned 40

I get what you mean but it doesn't make me feel old. I know the years are passing and I've learned to accept the things this brings with it but I do not feel old and hope I never will

Its demonstrably true. If they don't like the truth thats a shame, but the publicly accessible facts don't lie.

These matters gets reported upon and minuted when discussed and reported back at council meetings, and the minutes are available for public consumption. There are no secrets or surprises. The building density is significantly higher than the 4 surrounding developments, that they tried to quietly not provide the legally mandated allotments (x metres allotment space is required for y number of houses) until challenged, etc, are all a matter of public record.

Up at 6:30 this morning , coffee and toast for brekkie today but will go to the bakers soon to get some rolls so we can have a sausage bap with another coffee.

We had a quick sort out of the stuff from the cupboard that's been bashed about but we'll leave any more work for the time being and work out what we'll need to finish it before blundering ahead, also took the food waste bucket to the compost bins as it was a bit full and getting a bit smelly.

Otherwise will be a quiet day and I'll just give the Helium a quick look over and get stuff ready for the Saturday 're-union' ride.

Oh and it's sunny but not too warm here at the moment.
