An excellent lunch had in the Green Dragon over looking a field of sweet corn.
A buzzard flew past and perched on an electrical pylon whilst calling.

A snooze has been snoozed. TBH its left me feeling a bit groggy.
Anyway, for the 1st time I am going to 'do' a mighty Mo and go out for a 2nd wander i got 3 in this morning, I might manage another 2 maximum. Its a pleasant afternoon and I dont want to just sit twiddling my thumbs.

Thank you for your concern Dave7 but my family are from the Loire valley, 70 miles south of Paris so they are safe.

My #1 grandson's ex partner is French and I've just been told that her parents live "a 40 minute bike ride" from the fires, they have a nice house** near the beach.
**my daughter had a week there last year.

I've had our supplier out twice but they reckon it meets standards.

Our tap water is so hard, you certainly notice the difference when you travel to other parts, less shampoo, less soap or you`ll have a frothy frenzy !

It always makes me smile when we watch programs like " Homes under a hammer" and in the renovation they fit black taps etc. You would not want the white stains from the hard water we have. A grey kitchen sink is bad enough.

2nd stroll has been strolled. Just 1.4 miles in the sun was far enough.
My daughter and SiL have exchanged contracts on the sale of thier house and as the live in my house foc they will be 'quids in' which pleases me. Its what I worked all my life for.
I am told we are having a glass of Champas shortly.
