I just wear a hat.

I don't like hats of any kind
I wear a helmet when I'm riding my bike - but only because it is safer and makes my wife worry less

I wear hats when it is VERY sunny - still hate them

not sure why - I just always have

funny that after all these years I have never realised that normal sunscreen on my head was just so terrible

Same.....and way back in 1986 when I joined the prison service you had to wear one any time you were out and about. Horrible felt things! Thankfully, later on everything became much more relaxed and I think it's even more so now with polo shirts and fleeces, etc.

Back from my ride. Only 12 miles, but my arriss is still getting accustomed to being in the saddle again.

Bought the Ribble 2 years ago and thismis the first proper ride I've done on it. Firsts impressions are that the ride is a little harsh, but it doesn 'arf fly.

I got a job to do for the parish council tomorrow, so ill combine it with a bike ride.

I’ve got one too but it’s always felt a tiny bit big for me so hasn’t had much use.

It was my 1st "proper" road bike. All hand built with components i chose......I fell in love with it.

I've got one of the last Gen2 CGR-AL's. Got it in one of their sales for £500 off. Im still tweaking the fit slightly and may go for a shorter stem. It surprised me how darn quick it is in 40mm tyres, easily close to my Felt, but the ride is a bit stiff. A new seat and CF seat post might help, but I wont rush out to buy just yet as it may just be a case of becoming accustomed to it as it isnt bad. Its Tiagra, which I like as their large levers and long throw suits my big hands. Alas, discs are cable- the good news is while the feedback is lacking and the whole operation feels a bit crude they do actually haul me up pretty well, so not too bad. Hell, I paidmless than a grand so can't really bitch about the spec.

One of our DIs had a Ribble road bike and let it me try it for a couple of days before I retired. He eas a similar height to me so all to the good, but the frame was as floppy and wobbly as the CGR-AL is stiff. Cranking hard in a high gear I could see the bottom bracket actually deflect as the frame flexed! Not confidence inspiring. Most of the range got new frame designs around 2019 and were vastly improved. Yours is a Gen2 family frame like mine. Ill slap up a pic tomorrow.

I have just made a chicken Balti with lots of onion and mushrooms. I only made it as on an impulse I bought fresh mushrooms and they needed using.
Its a double portion so will go in the freezer.

Unless you have owned one of these you have never experienced real bottom bracket flex - I actually quite liked this bike back in the early 90's!

I've had an Alpinestars MTB, but not an elevated stay job. Theyre quite sought after now.
