Still wet here. Supposed to be wet till early tomorrow which is good.

We have had rain since about 03:00 this morning (I wasn’t awake then, but, I can see it on my birdfeeder camera). It has alternated between heavy and torrential 😂 I think my 500litres of rainwater butts may be replenished.

I gave a 1996 Saracen Tufftrax to my BiL when we moved. I lost quite a bit of outdoor storage so have to thin the herd by 14 bikes. Sold some on ebay, tried to give a couple to Biggs as hes a good sort and I knew hed get good use from them but he insisted on giving me money for them. One I regret was a half restored mid 90s Scott MTB - frame had been powder coated and liveried up but it wouldnt sell and running out of time I had tk be ruthless so it went in a neighbours skip

With all this crap about clamping down on ebikes trikes ect
I thought I better correct my controls for the motor.
I have known for a while my top end speed was at 16.3 mph
and not the 15.5mph that it should be.
After spending a while trying to decipher the instructions
and getting nowhere and nearly giving up, later I found how to do it
it was set at 26 and not the legal 25.
Now with full throttle I get 15.3mph that will please plod
And before anybody shouts "THROTTLE", it's pre 2016

It's gone very windy here, but we still have 28c

I had a Ribble road bike, loved it.

I still have one, a 653 with Shimano 600

In other News, our 4 day mini-break resulted in me eating a load of rubbish carbs that gave a 3lb gain on the scales.

Will take yonks to burn that off.

Yep, funny how it goes on so quick but takes forever to come off!

I’ve got the cycling on in the background but I never find the final day all that interesting, especially as it’s a shortened course due to the wild fires in France. It’s basically just laps around Paris.

@Drago Can I get into Salcey Forest from School Lane in Hartwell? Does the bridleway go through, over or under the M1 cos, as far as I know, there's not a pedestrian crossing at that point! 🧟‍♂️

Go down school lane.

As you approach community centre on the left youll see a bridleway dead ahead.

Down the bridleway, follow the fields around in a 10 o'clock direction.

Itll take you to Cattle Creep, the turning point on the motorway the dibble and the wombles use to turn around. The tunnel under the motorway is a public right of way, although dont recallmifmits a bridleway or footpath.
