Evening all . Not done much today , other than take my daughter to anther interview and water the garden . Then spent the rest of day hiding from the sun .
Looking at tomorrow’s forecast, its for more of the same but even hotter. So it looks like I will be hiding from the sun again , in the afternoon at least, as I’ve got a hair appointment in the morning and I am sailing in the evening .
Have a good evening folks .

May i offer a 'tip' to your daughter (which she probably knows anyway). But experience taught me that this really works.
1.No matter what the prospective job is.....research the company and its products.
2. Think of at least one, may 2, good questions to ask eg "i notice that you obtain xyz products from abroad country. Why is that, as against xyz country"?
3. Look for the opportunity to interject with that question. It really helps
It will stay in the mind of the interviewer.
And tell her...... statistically, she will be better than at least 50% of the applicants. Dressing appropriately and presenting herself correctly will narrow it down to 25%.
That research/question might just swing it in her favour.
Tell her we on CC are routing for her.

Morning all.
Coffee has been consumed. Next up is a glass of milk and a kitkat. Then I will head out for my walk.
I have a new route in mind which I hope is not too ambitious.....I will report back.
Have a good day peeps.

I had an all chocolate Kit Kat once. It was both delicious and suspenseful, I snapped off the first finger and bit into it to find no biscuity bits, just chocolate. The anticipation rose to an almost unbearable level as I snapped off and bit into each subsequent finger. With each bite I was reminded of Clint Eastwoods memorable line " Do you feel lucky Punk? Well do ya? " 😁

Good evening. AWOL. Geez, life has been hectic. I see I'm 17 pages behind! Anyway all is good though I'm totally knackered so early bed tonight.

I keep imaging what it would feel like if Bordeaux started to burn. I hate this, a vision of what faces my girls in years to come.
I might be more 🫣

A week ago we headed to a field in Suffolk with a pal….Latitude 2026 🎼
What a cracking weekend 🎉
We walked over 90k dusty steps & saw over 40 bands/acts - the festival has many music stages, but also a huge comedy tent, a theatre tent, cosmic shambles in the forest (a lot of Robin Ince stuff) 😎
Top bands for me were David Byrne (brilliant) & the Alex James Britpop Classical (an astonishing hour), but there were many, many others we loved. Old stagers like Billy Ocean, The Undertones (who are all original minus Feargal) & Peter Hook belted put some good tunes 🎸
The food was decent with one highlight being a vegan ‘pork & apple sauce’ burger…no, we aren’t vegetarian, but it was just delicious 🍔
Circus Zambia Afronauts put a great acrobatic show in the theatre tent - who here knew Zambia had an unofficial Space Programme in the 1960s to try to beat the US & USSR to the moon 😜
Returned late Monday after a dip in the North Sea to cleanse, but even the toilets and campsite showers were excellent 🙏
It really is a highlight of the year for me 🍻

Just the final washing and packing away of kit to do….

Costume of the weekend spotted: at least 7 blokes as beer bottles with their own part crate to move around in. Visited by some seagulls at this point:

Morning all :hello:

Went to my local bike meet at the Windmill last night on Bertie Bantam. Riding back home and Bertie threw a wobbly, suddenly cutting out and not restarting; fortunately, I was only a couple of hundred yards from home and managed to push back.
So... I know what I'm doing today.

Cheers thanks for the advice and the kind words
She does try and do these things . It’s what so frustrating as the feed back she gets about her interview technique is always good and very positive but she doesn’t get the job. ☹️
