I think I’ll just be in my pjs all day as we have a solid day of rain.

Positively cool today and windy. Dry though.
Car to garage to get brakes done, various admin stuff as ever then a weights session later. Was thinking of ridng but will go tomorrow when less gale force winds are blowing.

Off to Minehead on the train this morning to walk the pup on the beach and then have lunch with our mates.

Google says they sell for £9K-£12K.

Classic bike prices are plummeting at the moment because the guys who know how to run these bikes are dying off.
The current hot market is for 1990s bikes.
I doubt whether you'd get much more than £4 - 5K for the Sunbeam.

The Sunbeam was never a popular classic among old bike enthusiasts. As Dirkie says, chuck in the fact that the audience is dying off and things aren't rosy for old brit tin.

Id suggest around the 4 grand mark, give or take a bit each way to account for foibles on the day, isn't unrealistic. However, don't be surprised if it takes a long time to get an offer and the price has to be dropped to generate interest.

If it were a Late 80's Suzuki GSXR slabbie or RG500 in that sort of condition that'd be 20 grand, but sadly its a less than popular brand from an era of machine that is becoming steadily less sought after. I quite like it and wouldnt say no, but im a weirdo.

Edit - DVLA shows its a 1951 model. It looks honest, but even assuming its a sound bike its going to need 2 tyres, a thorough going over by someone that knows what theyre looking at and a service. Call it a grand if nothing major is found wanting and you paid someone to do the work and you wont be far off.

Brommie has been washed and lubed as I'm riding over to my blood donoring session on Wednesday and don't want to arrive on a less than shiny bike!

A couple of weeks ago I was in the backs cleaning my bike. A neighbour walks by:

"Been for a ride, Paul?"
"No, but I am tomorrow"
"You're cleaning your bike before you ride it???"

People just don't understand.........🤣🤣
