Bright but breezy here in East Cambs this morning.
Breakfast and coffee consumed and washing up done.
Walk to the village this morning for thrifting and shopping (Sainsbury's today).
Might be a DIY day today.
Oh and got tickets booked for the East Anglian beer fest :cheers:

Morning.
Hopefully a better day today! After lots of faffing and stress with Sky/Plusnet for Mums house, the garage informed me car needs new pads, discs and tyres(wasn't a surprise though) so that'll be a mega bill. Then yesterday evening just settling down to watch a bit of tv and wife informs me the dishwasher leaking. Great. Hopefully sorted that out, I think was a displaced seal/crap on it.
Hoping to actually get out for a ride this morning if I can.

We have had the kids overnight

well - the 2 boys anyway - apparently the oldest is now old enough to sort herself out after her parents go to work
she is "going to town with her mates" - whatever that means to a 13 (nearly 14) year old gril these days

personally I think Liverpool needs warning!

anyway - we have the boys

I also have a "one-to-one" with the manager at AgeUK
seems I have to have one every 6 months to check everything is OK and all that
which is good really - although the person I normally work with knows damn well that I tend to just say something if anything is wrong!!

but people differ - so it is a good thing

I will probably been told that I seem to have forgotten to do some on-line courses that I was supposed to do
they are either about stuff that anyone my age with my experience thinks are blindingly obvious

or stuff that is way beyond what I do - like working out of someone needs extra help with stuff - I just tell my contact and let her pass it on - I only do the computer help stuff!

anyway - so the lads will be left with their Gran for a while
which will be fine - the middle one is autistic so I have warned him and he will be fine - it is unexpected changes that sometimes wind him up

Morning. I was up early as usual. Took the car through to the next village to give it a run and had a 6 mile walk through there for a change.

Back and had my porridge and now have a large mug of Yorkshire decaf tea.

It must be getting cooler. Molly got up for a handful of biscuits then went straight back under the duvet. 🐱
