Done walking, it was a struggle as it was 34c, I really think I should have given it a miss.

It's only low 20s here and I was feeling it far too warm when I nipped out just now.

My ankle felt itchy so checked when I got in and found a tick. Got it out and put some rubbing alcohol on but it's still itchy.

PJs now on as I ain't going back out.

Lunch at spoons, visit to cake shop, snooze in chair.
We're fortunate to have three independent bakeries up the road from us. The oldest is " Diana's " which has been there for many decades. It's always been cash only yet most days sees a queue stretching out the door. I hope it can continue but seeing this job advertised in the window today gave me pause. Not exactly social hours but fingers crossed they get someone 🤞

Yes, where my sister lives the woods behind her house is full of them
and the dogs come back with at least two each week

More likely when they are left attached for some time I think? Plus I don’t think they all carry it.

So far I’ve always noticed them right away when they are tiny.

Just caught up on Van der Valk. Very enjoyable again.

The current thinking is if you have a tick on you that’s buried in. Once you get it off keep it in a Jiffy bag, then if you get a halo rash round the bite area. It’s G.P for a blood test and they might want to test the tick as well.
