Cleaned the bathroom and put my feet up just in time for the phone to ring. I'd half forgotten that My Consultant was going to call. Anyway good news, gene panel tests showed no further mutations.😎
There's a new series of " A house Through Time " starting tonight. The house featured is in Edinburgh so I expect that there'll be a rich history.

Up to 34c today and it feels like there's no air and it's not doing mu sinuses and favours.

Boiler serviced ok but was noted that the carbon monoxide alarm was past it's replacement date (as was the smoke alarms when we looked at them) so both ordered from Argos and will pick up tomorrow; also ordered some Duralex glasses and a sheet from John Lewis to pick up from Waitrose.

Moved some stuff around before the boiler engineer came and when we were putting stuff back noticed the tyre on the bh's Cotic was flat (it lives in the kitchen btw) ; so on inspection noticed some cracking so decided to replace it, had to strip the old rim tape off and re-tape but tyre popped on nicely and fresh sealant in so hopefully all ok.

Oh and just had a nice supper, a Nigel Slater recipe of grilled Aubergene with lightly fried Chick Peas and a Aubergene/Chick Pea paste.

Barnet,
I was banking on having liver and bacon with mash and onion gravy for tea tonight.
Stopped at the butchers and they didn't have any lambs liver. So I had sausages and mash instead.

So what's going on here. Every where is parched and looking like the Sahara desert, but along the kerb in our road this species of grass is flourishing? There is no sign of any water leak but the grass is going well.

Is it the block paving keeping the ground underneath moist & cooler, too?
