Did my short delayed stroll (I had no energy this morning).
I didnt push it, just 0.6 mile but even so my shin is 'hot'......tomorrow will tell me if I got it right or not.
Forecast promised showers so I wore a lightweight water proof jacket......I was baking.

I thought they left because it was far far too dangerous for them to be here

Clearly they have more security available now
and Meghan having a "major acting role in the country" is not anything to do with it

-don't hold your breath thought - according to "Some Things I Have Read" apparently they are not selling the massive money pit of a house in California
Meghan having a "major acting role in the country" ? Probably a part in a new Midsomer murder ? We can keep guessing at this game .

Went to a local Livign Well centre this mornig for a session as an AgeUK volunteer

My normal supervisor (i.e. employee ratehr than volunteer) is off this week so someone else was there

She is one of those people whose whole demenure says "Manager" - the nice competant kind but still

She was telling me that she got there early as she wasn;t sure where it was or how things worked
but it was closed so she looked for somewhere to have a coffee
but only Weatherspoons was open so she went there

apparently as she walked in a bloke was complaining as he had been refused an order of a pint because IT WAS BEFOTE 9a.m.!!!

and as she was orderign her coffee the person next to her was ordering a double Baileys to go with their English Breakfast

Well - she was deffo in 'Spoons!!!

how the other half lives 😂

Hi all
We – i.e. my wife and I – are thinking of making my trip to a meet up of people I was at school with in London (men only – it was that type of school!) into a chance to go round some of the tourist spots that we either have not seen or haven’t see for ages, for a few days after. We have done a lot of stuff outside London but when we go to London there is always something else we need to do.

However, neither of us have spent much time around London so I was wondering if any of you know of any decent hotels (etc) to stay – probably somewhere towards Hampton Court and near train connections to get elsewhere – such as tubes into the centre so we can get around

Any suggestion welcome – we normally look for something more like Premier Inn that something at Claridges!!

Thanks

You cant go wrong with Premier inns.......I lost count of the number I stayed at all over the country, they were always a good standard.
Not sure if its the same now but if you book early you could often get low prices.
