The Retirement Thread

Hi all
We – i.e. my wife and I – are thinking of making my trip to a meet up of people I was at school with in London (men only – it was that type of school!) into a chance to go round some of the tourist spots that we either have not seen or haven’t see for ages, for a few days after. We have done a lot of stuff outside London but when we go to London there is always something else we need to do.

However, neither of us have spent much time around London so I was wondering if any of you know of any decent hotels (etc) to stay – probably somewhere towards Hampton Court and near train connections to get elsewhere – such as tubes into the centre so we can get around



Any suggestion welcome – we normally look for something more like Premier Inn that something at Claridges!!

There is a Premier Inn in Wimbledon, from there there is a very good train service into Waterloo, trains to Hampton Court going the other direction and London Underground's District line into west London, the west end and City.

I certainly hope none of my taxes are going towards maintaining them in any way. They might be in for a shock when they realise the British public are not as fond of them as they think.

My sources reckon Harry has jumped before he was pushed.
Apparently the US immigration services take a very dim view of anyone convicted of, or admitting to taking, illegal drugs.
Harry has admitted to taking drugs in his book, and it would appear that he therefore allegedly lied to get his original visa; not something they take lightly.
The chances of him renewing his visa would seem to be zero.
........and Trump doesn't like him.
The mainstream media aren't touching the real story.

Also apparently rumours that Chuck's health is getting worse ,might be rubbish of course.

Today I have been mostly riding around in Naarfolk and eating Ice Cream.

Just been to Tesco - it was an emergency as we had run out of frozen chips!!!

anyway - on the way out there is a walway behind the tills to the escalator and stairs

I was walking along and became aware of a man waking "a but too close" behind me - close but to my right a bit

I slowed down and he did - I slwoed some more and he walked past

as he passed I noticed he had his phone out and seemed to be looking at the camera images of the floor in front of him

I did notice that there were 2 women in front of me but his image was not of them


it felt weird

I man - CLEARLY he could have been so overwhelmed by by sexyness from behind (Mrs. ebiker's opinion will not be published!!)

but something felt wrong!!!

(or maybe I just experienced something women feel a lot more than men???)

A guy in Warrington has just been jailed for 'up skirting'.......a proper pervy thing that is really beyond me. If they want to see women in underwear just get a Littlewoods catalogue.

Just noticed something from an old friend on Linkedin

As I checked I saw I had a message
star of it was like this

So - apparently she has looked ta my profile - and as she ws looking for Maths Experts then my profile stood out

Well damn right it would!!!

Although I would be interested in knowing exactly in what way she thinks my profile was so amazingly Standing out


One migth suspect she was using AI to search profile
in which case - her AI certainly needs training!!!
