Morning all :hello:

Busy day today.
Got to pick up a pair of Bantam crankcases from a mate, then on to an art exhibition in Dunster. We'll then walk the pup on Dunster beach before dropping in at the garden centre for a new pond pump. After that we'll lunch at the Top Ship in Porlock and pick up another CAMRA sticker on the pub trail.
When I get home I've got to replace one of our security cameras that's gone faulty.
Later on I'm going to look at a cache of mopeds that was offered to me yesterday - 2 Velo Solex, a Puch Maxi and an NSU Quickly.
That should cover my Winter project requirements.

Morning.
Bright and sunny, better make most of next couple of days as it's changing soon.
Tesco due soon, washing on, usual stuff. Need to do a water change on hot tub and filter clean etc.
Weights later. Had a good ride yesterday, 42miles and 3200ft so decent spin.

Off to Hardwick Hall today

we are taking the grand-daughter - she seems to like "old stuff"
but she also likes a day away from her brothers!!

anyway - 2 hour drive so I will have to get them up soon
apparently the 14 year old takes over an hour to "get ready" - when I was 14 I took about 1 minute to get ready if I was doing something
Girls are weird!

Hardwick Hall is a delight: amazing building and story of Bess 💪

Another sunny day down south 😎
More gardening today, I suspect….we are slowly clearing an area of shingle, ready to pop a patio down. I mix cement directly with the soil to form the base (no hardcore down), but use a little rotavator, so need to shift the stones first 🤓
Another pizza party later, which followed a very pleasant one yesterday (different groups of friends!). Too many pints consumed though, hence an even lazier than usual start 🫣
Pepperoni with warm honey went down very well 👌

I'm going to erect my tent in the garden soon to sort out the inner lining that's sagging a bit.

Tis no good when your erection sags but it happens to us all.

Back from my walk, a tad over 3 miles.
I occasionally meet up with a walker who, I found out this morning, is 78. I used to see him when both of us cycled. Illness curtailed mine wile he had a bad accident and now one leg is shorter than t'other.
Turns out he's the male equivalent of Mo, right down to the 2 smart watches he wears. He even has porrige after his 1st walk.
I know that, like Mo, he goes out twice and today he showed me his total is a MASSIVE 14 miles.....puts my 3 miles in perspective .

We had another fire in the village late yesterday, 3 fire crew, 4 police cars and ambulance
not too sure what the ambulance was for as it didn'r say if anybody was hurt, or it maybe as
a just in case, all of the crew left at 09:00 this morning as they must have been damping down all night.
The warm weather has returned we have 31.5c now.
