This is not a dig, more of a get it off your chest thing. I'm forever reading from outraged pensioners about government planning to tax my pension, it all goes in tax, blah, blah. Most have never read anything more than a headline, don't understand pension contributions, tax law or much else. The fact is anyone whose sole income is the state pension is and will be exempt from taxation.

This isn't a kindness but a recognition of the cost and difficulty of collecting tiny amounts of tax from millions of pensioners.

Speaking of getting things off your chest, every week I accompany Mrs Tkk who is a walk leader for a group that was originally a council initiative " Poole Health Walks " but they have been gradually withdrawing their involvement. A regular dozen plus walkers, mostly oldies, some recently bereaved. It's a mixed bunch and we all get along well, there's even a budding romance between a couple of them, one in his 90's 😎. There are a couple of ladies who take the less challenging route and I accompany them. They're both well off but crikey do they moan about anything and everything. I will try to steer the conversation in a more positive direction but they will swiftly turn it back to something negative. It does get quite wearing and it's usually instigated by the one lady who can be a bit Hyachinth Bucket. I can see myself snapping soon and pointing out that their conversations are overwhelmingly negative, but that will probably give them something else to moan about. Ok, thanks for listening, rant over 😂

Good morning all
The rain has finally arrived on the day I am clearing part of the garden at my daughters new house, so that the scaffolders can get in tomorrow, so that the roofer can start work next Monday, although it is a bank holiday.
I feel I might get a tad damp today. Then this afternoon the person ftom BT is installing full fibre into the house. MrsP might have to leave early from our daughter's place if we have not finished leaving me and a big bag of tools to get the train home. Fortunately its not far, only Welwyn garden city.
Busy busy busy.

Took the car through to Comrie and did an out and back 4 mile walk/jog there for a change. Lovely little single track road with passing places. I passed a little pond where a large group of ducks had congregated and the noise they were making sounded like a crowd of people laughing. It always makes me laugh too when I hear them. Thankfully no passing cars at the time wondering who the loony walking along laughing was!

Morning all :hello:

I've sold the Velo Solex; chaps picking it up this evening.
The Puch is pretty much finished - had a ride on it yesterday and Al seems good. Might just have a small cold starting issue to sort out.
Today I shall set about the NSU Quickly...

Morning.
Rain and lots of it. Due to various things happening this week I've not had chance or energy to get out for a ride but I'm hoping should there be a break in the rain I will today. It's warm enough so roads will dry quickly post rain.
