A question for you oldies.
I'm listening to Boom radio while playing my air guitar along to Ghost Riders In The Sky.
Q.....do you remember the sexy record by the singer Jane Birken and written by Serge Gainsbourg. The title was........
Je Taime Moi Non Plus.
It was banned in several countries. The bbc banned it but it still went to No 1 here.
They played that earlier. It was quite good, very moody and sensuous.

I have that on my play list

Been dry here today although I have seen people on Strava saying they got caught in a shower and it's getting grey here now and windier.

Ended up starting clearing out a cupboard were basically everything gets thrown in and documents and invoices kept ;we're going to use it more for storing clothes in but still keep some of the stuff in boxes on shelves etc so popped to Sainsbury's/Argos for some storage boxes.

While out we nipped in some chazzers and one had some Oakley sunnies at £40.00, supposedly 'Live Strong' editions but the colour was wrong and looked a bit iffy so left them.

Then had an hour or so of suffering doing a team Alpecin workout on Zwift.

Some posters have obviously retired from the police force as did a friend of mine when he was in his early 50's.
He left the army (MP) and joined the force stationed in Aldershot, a squaddy town.
No patrol car to hide in , he walked the beat and told me he used his persuasion wand on many occasions. Usually drunks but young fit fellas looking to have a go. His approach was to talk to them and then go in hard. Of course this was before camera phones and cameras clipped to uniforms. He said he couldn't do the job today because smart ass lawyers are looking for cases of 'brutal' conduct from the police.
As a lad a copper gave me a whack from his cape because I was being lippy and he was right to do so.
How the country has changed, when I was younger if you got caught up to no good bye the local bobby it was usually a telling of and a quick clip round the ear and the hope that he didn't bump into your parents that day or you got a second dose, now the parents would be complaining to the police and the bobby would probably be arrested and charged with assault.
