Morning all.
Had a coffee, now on a mug of cold milk.
I have the joy of the contractor working on the drive to look forward to
.
Just one phone call to make and i know that will be a ball ache.
I will hopefully get a walk in mid morning once I make sure the contractor is doing exactly what we agreed......at least it will be warmer by then.

Good morning all.
The overnight rain has passed by. The top temperature will be atound 20⁰
Some domestics this morning, and then the escape committee is meeting at the Mitre to discuss the arrangements for Monday morning, as we are on the 08.01 Eurostar to Paris from St.Pancras, so it's going to be an early start ftom home, ie, first train from Barnet, 05.20, and several of the group are travelling ftom elsewhere and will be meeting up along the way.

Going back to the topic of phone calls, yesterday i had cause to contact Brilliant Bikes with a query regarding some components that I was about to order. Had a very helpful email response from Hannah. Hannah is the lady who as well as drawing smilies with a " thank you " on all the delivery notes, also presents the YouTube channel which has some excellent tutorial videos an all things Brompton.
An hour or so later I received a call from an unknown number, I usually let these go to voicemail but this time I answered and a ladies voice said " is this Kevin? " I said " yes ' and the lady said " Hello Kevin, it's Hannah " I thought I was speaking to Hannah from Brilliant Bikes as the voice sounded similar, so I said " Hello Hannah, I thought I recognised the voice from your YouTube channel. " Really?, that's great "
The lady then asked if it would be OK to leave her car on our drive for a few days as she was heading off on a Hen do with her sister. I was nonplussed for a moment until the penny dropped, it wasn't the Hannah from Brilliant Bikes it was the sister of our next door neighbour who We'd known from childhood to moving to a different part of Dorset. It turns out that she has a YouTube channel too, though nothing to do with Bikes 😁. I just looked out the window and see that we now have a Tesla sitting on the drive 😮

Dry and clear so a ride later. Rained most of the day yesterday so spent it sorting out garage and another car full went to the tip.
Phone calls, recently I've had two seperate calls from people who say they had a missed call from me. When I said I definitely didn't call them(I didn't as no idea who they are) both said they'd just pressed the call back option.
I'm sure they were genuine people, like me they were mystified what had happened. A quick search shows my number had probably been spoofed. Apparently criminal use random numbers to disguise their true number when making scam calls and seems mine was one of the random numbers. This was on my mobile number.
Anyone else had this? Seemingly can't do anything about it as it's a random thing.

The up bit disappeared
Well up early this morning to give the van a good clean inside, had to get it done early while it was still cool enough to work, just about hitting 20°C now and expected to get to the low 30's later. Going to head into town after coffee for a bit of shopping, then I'll settle and watch stage 19 of the Vuelta.
