Afternoon all . Just finished packing as we are also away next week. Only in our case we are away to Brixham . The last time we stayed there was the year before we were married, which is …… a long time ago 😂. We thought it was a bit of a dump back then ( it didn’t help it rained every day ) . But we stayed near Dartmouth a couple of years ago and had a few days out there and were very impressed how it had changed so when we saw a nice apartment at the right price, we decided to give it a go . 😀

Hope you enjoy it.
We honeymooned in Scarborough.....1968. We were impressed.
We went back for a short break approx 2000.....it was very depressing, so run down.

You riding any of the stages while you're there?
In this heat at my age, apart from getting to where I want to watch maybe 5-10km not a chance. I did 25km in France at the start of my trip in 40°C and it was not pleasant to say the least.

A shameful day in the Commons.

Will stop there before we get into NCAP debate.

Am in two minds over this. I don’t have a problem with it ethically but I do have concerns about how it would be administered.
Also we live in a country were thousands of people in their last days die from the amount of pain killers needed to keep them pain free, so we already have a version of it already .
It’s a complicated situation and I yet to be convinced one way or the other.

First day this school year to pick the kids up from school

Noticed that the windscreen washers seem to have run out of water
no problem - filled i tup when I got home
I did notice it took "not that much" for an empty bottle - so I tried it and they worked fine

If you want to pump some water out of the bottom the the door onto the road!!!

thought it might be serious - but the garage I used closed in 30 minutes and is closed until Monday
AND we are going away on Sunday!!

Anyway - fiddle and found a loose pipe
which is good
the end looked ragged and like it had pulled apart
BUT I could not find anything that might have been the otehr bit - I was hoping to nip out tomorrow and get a join thing of some lind

eventually managed to remove the plastic panel that covered the top of the wing and eventually found a hidden right angle connector
that had a pipe missing
connected it and it all worked
took be ages to fit it back in but I did

THEN I had to get the plastic panel back in
and it JUST DID NOT FIT
I mean - it was not just me - the back end of it was a good inch or two out and the shape means it cannot bend

It looks for all the World like it comes from a different model with slightly similar wings
expect that I had just taken it off THIS car

weird

I eventually took it of totally and that seems to make zero difference to anything other than making the underbonnet experience a look a bit less "car like"
WHich I suspect is something to do with marketing!!!
