Well after two days of using ferry's, Torbay on Monday and Dartmouth yesterday. We have now moved on the cliff railways 😂.
I am definitely turning into my dad. 😂😀.

Not sure where we are off too tomorrow but no ferry’s or cliff railways will be involved..

Bonnie & I went on a ferry, too!
It was a man and his oar-powered rowing boat..
£2:50 from Walberswick to Southwold 😅

The poor child iirc was 3 yrs old, deaf and none verbal. I have to ask about the care arrangements that enabled him to leave the play area.
Easy for me to say, I know that.

From what I heard, it was a very unfortunate accident. The grandfather was looking after him. The child run off and whilst chasing after him , he fell. When he got up again , the child had disappeared, out of view.

I love it there. For many years when we were first married and our daughter was little we regularly used holiday at oulton Broad ( it was cheap and we were poor ) and Southwold was a favourite day out . Park in the harbour then across on the ferry to Walberswick ( it used to a really old fella on the ferry back then ) walk round to the foot bridge then stop in a lovely little cafe/chandery for lovely home made cafes or a terrific bacon roll on the way back . The cafe is still there but it’s a bit gentrified these days, we still love the area though.😀

Funny enough we also paid £2:50 each on the ferry to Dartmouth and the cliff railways at Babbacombe, Though we did spend considerably more on the ferry to Torquay. 😂

That would be very sad.
If that is correct the grandfather will probably never forgive himself.

No surprised . We last time we went to the cafe was @ 7 or 8 years ago . It had recently changed hands and just wasn’t the same . Before it was an eclectic mix of cafe / shop and chandery full of tourists/ boat owners and boat yard workers and it just worked. It had become just another up market cafe like thousands of other . It’s a shame but things change .

Yes, disc brakes are ugly!

I think they look fine, better to have a clean look on forks and no exposed cables etc with integrated cockpit. Neater to me.
And they work better.

Mod note: probably best continued in the various threads on this subject in the appropriate parts of the forum.

Many thanks.
