Can I talk about the weather? It rained on my walk.

I think on the retirement thread, we are old enough to decide what we can, should, will talk about without having being moderated by some people. Fancy that, cycling related things being discussed on a cycling forum. I also think we are old enough to ensure that handbags at dawn are not drawn, mainly because we can't be arsed.

As they say, growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional.

Busy couple of days.

Tuesday was in Cambridge for a Glaucoma check up (all good) and then a wander around mostly in the Charity and Vintage shops, picked up a nice made in the USA wool jacket at one of the vintage shops.
Had a good coffee and then a wander further out for a couple of beers.

Back home in the train and some chip shop chips and watched the Sowing Bee final in the evening.

Yesterday out for a long-sh ride and then spent the afternoon finishing the Jarvis Cocker book that needed to go back to the library.

Ride included doing a bit of litter picking

Good morning. The rain hammered down all night. This morning is dull, grey and damp. United Utilities are digging up the road on a very narrow bend in our village. On the same bend, opposite side of the road is an emergency water tanker, there is a road closed sign but it's possible to get through....................I wandered out to see what was going on and stopped for ten minutes to watch the school run....     absolute bedlam.......why don't people give way???????

Well, today? I have a mobile bodywork man coming to respray some rather unsightly scratches on my car. It's 11 years old, 83,000 miles, runs like clockwork and has never had any work other than MOT and annual service. I've no plans to change it so decided I'd like the bodywork to look better.

British Gas are coming to service the boiler, later I have Canasta group and this evening we're off to the Blackburn Empire to see an amateur production of Cluedo......................I know, I know. A rubbish sleep last night so at some point I must nap.
