Back from my Lidl trip.
I was unimpressed.
IMO its too big, more like a supermarket. They have lost thier way......again imo.
Aldi has everything i need with a better choice of some items eg cheese, tomatoes and small yoghurt (breakfast type).
The 'middle isle is massive, I gave up trying to view everything.
I will stick with Aldi.

Aldi do seem to be better for some things
but when I have tried it then there are a lot of things that I need that they just do not have so I end up having to go somewhere else anyway

and we do not have a Lidl - 2 Aldi (what is the plural Aldi???) but no Lidl - which seems weird!

Just back from my volunteering at AgeUK

my "boss" (does that work with volunteering??) is stressed

her daughter has just started University and she dropped her off over the weekend
it took 3 trips apparently
when I started it took one trip with 3 people in the car plus the dog!!

also - she can check her daughter's location on Google Maps

apparently she was out after midnight last night!!!


she is going to have to stop checking that!!!!

cos she ain;t gonna stop her daughter staying out!!!

I am glad my parents had to just drop me off and go home - assuming I would ring or something and maybe come back for a weekend in a few weeks time
although my Dad did say - many years later - that the trip back was terrible having just left me in a very blank room with nothing but a single case and a backpack

My daughter has Asda home delivery for the odd things Aldi doesn't do but tbh i think the only item I can think of is air fryer liners.

I will stick with Aldi.

I got a watermelon out of Aldi recently. Left it sitting for 3 days and noticed an awful smell. It had started to rot and there was a disgusting smelly liquid oozing out of it. I don’t rate their fruit and veg much.
