need to go and get the kids (grandson and his cousin) from Primary school this afternoon
might rain - which might be a problem as the cousin gets out a bit later now - so I have to teh the grandson - then wait a bit

and very very slightly more parents turn up in cars if it is raining
so parking is even more of a pain - although I park a fair way away where the idiots don;t park
(before someone says it - they live too far away to just walk there - nearest Catholic school and not my decision!)

Ive never tried quordle, I must check it out.
Out of interest and just to compare to OUR** schools days.....roughly how far away is the school?
**I realise its a different world now with a gazillion cars flying around plus the thought of paedos so there is nothing judgemental in the question.

The few people I personally know - including me - who boycott the TV licence genuinely dont watch live tv or the player.

After all, it was crap enough that I didn't want to pay to watch it so,how would being free make it any more palatable?

Im a radio fiend, watch very little on screen but the wireless is on from the moment I arise until I walk up the wooden hill to Bedfordshire.

What little on screen I watch is almost all Paramount+ with a little ITV and U player. Mrs D prefers Prime and Mini D has Disney+. We dont mind paying for stuff we're actually likely to watch, and as we were disinclined to watch the BBC we stopped paying for it.

No politics, no statement of ideology, we were simply not using it so binned it off the same way me might an old magazine sub or gym membership.

The TV output was shockingly bad. Low quality (apart from maybe half a dozen dramas each year) and riddled with PC (not opening a discussion on this, btw).

We canned it a few years ago and do not see why we should pay a single penny towards its upkeep.

If I'm forced to pay the BBC I would have to buy a telly
off to the argos site......sometime later I'd need a 32-42 inch
around £200 to £300.....OK
goes to the TV guide site, Oh goody whats on......
repeats looks like I've saved some money.........as I can see them on youtube
Now if the BBC can force youtube, and I can't see that happening, I'd have to have a re-think.

Walk to Wimborne, first stop the Burly Baker for a Bakewell tart, 2 cheese scones and 2 tea cakes. The essentials having been sorted I headed for " Spill the Beans " to get some more healthy supplies and saw this bike outside the Co Op.

I have been pottering and CGPT has been informing me what microns equate to in mil.

Have you got sky ?? There are lots of progs on border security, police interceptors and motorway cops.......all real ie not reality crap. They are entertaining and sometimes heart stopping.

I got rid of sky a long time ago as the repeats were outnumbering new programmes and I was spending about £60 a month

This holiday is doing me the world of good.Hotel is great food fantastic,company excellent,where we have been has been outstanding,but I already knew about the scenery.We visited Krimmell Waterfalls today,only had time to visit the lower one,highlight for me today a visit to Erber Distillery,and a tasting session,we both liked different types,so two bottles were bought,along with two really nice glass s,well you have to do it in style,so Christmas cake with cheese and a very large drink is coming,it is pear and Apple schnaps.
