Trespass

actually walking trousers
because I don;t want padding and Lycra and all that

saw an article in a newspaper this morning where she described her husband as a
MABNILYDTPDP
Middle Aged Bloke Not In Lycra Y Due To Possibility of Divorce Proceedings
which sums up my attitude!

but riding in jeans in cold wet weather is not the perfect alternative!!!

Picked Trespass as they have different leg lengths
because - and this may be news to clothes designers for "outdoor wear" - people sometimes have non-standard legs!!!
(my wife is 4 foot 11 - she can go on about clothes designers for several hours!!!!)

It really annoys me that decent jeans are rarely available in different lengths.

In the US they have a full range of leg lengths.

We are lucky that we have access to a very good, and reasonably priced, seamstress to alter trousers, fleece tops (arms) & t.shirts (body length).

Been shopping, thrifting and had the Flu vax at Boots.

Pre booked online and got done on time and no fuss, n o issues so far,,,,

BH nabbed a pair of Russell and Bromley boots at one of the chazzers so she's well pleased.

And had beans on toast ( with a bit of Turkish pepper and some chilli sauce) and a cup of tea when we got back.

Pepper AND chili sauce together

Indeed. I do the same every 3 years for Mrs D and have to go through al the same intrusive questioning - bear in mind the carncil department are not clinically qualified and not actually entitled to access or store such info anyway - even though she has a progressive illness for which there is no cure.

We're fast becoming like Kenya or India with our pointless, teetering bureaucracy.

The problem is compounded with a total lack of any human support if you are struggling with the process. Many organisations now don’t even publish a phone number.

Just spent 2 hours just renewing my blue badge......what a nightmare. It took 3 of us (me, daughter and DiL) 4 attempts. Some of the questions are soooo stupid and virtually impossible to answer.

I had similar recently sorting my 70 years old driving licence online.

I am very good on the tech' front but the damned identification process was a ball-ache and I worked myself up into right fret! :cursing:

My 80 year old Step Mother has just sold her house and verification of ID process was an absolute nightmare, they expected her to do it on a Smartphone, I told her just to walk into her solicitor and ask them to do it manually which they reluctantly did. No one however thought to offer that service. There seems to be zero thought or compassion for people these days. It all “computer says no”

There was a section that asked me to choose which of 4 best describe my problems. However each one only gave partial descriptions (finishing with a series of dots) but no way of actually seeing the whole thing.......we had to just pick one and hope !!!
