Dogs walked. A bit of Aerosmith this morning. Muesli time.

We have an " Arrowsmith Road " nearby. All it needs is a bit of creative editing 🤔 Some of the properties along the road make Sandbanks seem downmarket...

Good morning. Dark and chilly so as the small one is here I've put the heating on........purely for her you understand.

#2SP fell asleep at 4.00pm, we couldn't wake her so put her to bed. She slept for 13¼ hours then at 5.15 I heard a little voice whisper "Granddad" and she climbed into bed for a 40 minute snuggle. Magic.

Mr Parrot has come to stay as well. Mr Parrot is one of those new-fangled toys that repeats everything you say. Most conversation involves Mr Parrot as interpreter. It goes like this:

Granddad: "Would #2SP like a drink?"
Mr P: "Would #2SP like a drink?"
#2SP "Yes, please"
Mr P "Yes, please"
Granddad "Would #2 like purple juice?"
Mr P "Would.........

It could be a long day.........or else Mr Parrot's batteries might run out.....or even disappear??? 🤔🤔

Funny how batteries don;t last very long in certain toys!
When I had kids with toys like they you sometimes found that the batteries magically got a small piece of paper between the battery and the contact

it was a mystery how that happened

Right off to see the Mayor

AgeUK open day thing in Runcorn

which is lucky - if it was in St Helens the relevant Mayor would be
erm
how to say this in a way that won;t get me told off and pointed to "The Other Place"
err - of a party that was on teh telly last night

lets hope their MP doesn;t show up

I'll drop it there!

Anyway - I'll keep the talking to "old people and phones" type stuff!
The Gods know I have enough "opinions" about that!

Another chilly walk done but the frost is starting to lift already.

I suspect I will get shot down in flames on my local Faceache page. Someone posting that all walkers, runners and cyclist should be wearing high vis and "be prepared to move over" if a vehicle is coming. It was the latter part I mostly disagree with, especially on the road they are talking about. It's a minor road but has room for 2 vehicles to pass so I don't see why they expect us to move over for them. I don't mind hopping off the road when I'm walking/jogging on a single track road, but that's as much for my own safety as for their convenience.
