Nigella was with me last night. You can borrow her tonight if you wish but I want her back for Sunday.
I was reading up on Jet Harris last night, and had a weird dream about the Fender Bass VI (I have one as well.)
Maybe I should read up on Nigella before bed and see whar haplens?!
Well it's a dull but quiet start to the day here. The storms not supposed to arrive till this afternoon, so popping out for a few things from the shops before lunch.Good morning from a dark, still Dorset. Mrs Tkk is still in London with our granddaughter having decided to stay the night instead of battling with a disrupted rail journey. I will do a bit of housework and other tasks once coffee has been consumed ☕️☕️.
Yesterday I managed to bag tickets for Le Grand Depart ceremony in Edinburgh, a bit challenging with pre registration, site going live at midday and then a 5 minute slot to navigate the site, select and pay for tickets while the clock ticked down. Of course Nationwide wanted to verify it was a legitimate transaction so I had to open the app on my phone and confirm it was me making the payment.
Have a peaceful day folks ☕️☀️🤞
" I cycled through there on my End to End " is the oft heard refrain from Mrs TKK when we're watching a travel type programme on the TV. ( I've never cycled end to end, Mrs Tkk has twice ). The range of places mentioned has me questioning her navigation skills 😁I'm planning to follow the tour this year, going to watch stage one probably south of Hawick as it's an area I know well, then head over to France, just waiting for the detailed route maps to come out to plan my route.
Probably better not to........mmmmm a threesome with Norai will have to think about that.
Why not go to a digital subscription, cut out the middleman.Good afternoon. We have either Austen or Boelo visiting today. My preferred option for the rest of the day? Tea, crumpets and a blazing fire. Instead we're off to Ewood to watch Rovers v Wrexham. Yeah!!
The Guardian delivery. I haven't bored you with this ongoing saga......yet. Short version. Twelve months ago the last of three local newsagents closed and a company called NewsTeam took over deliveries. We pay the Guardian, NewsTeam deliver. In theory. The creativity of the delivery guys is amazing.
This morning I eventually found our paper in the redundant coal chute for our neighbour's coal hole!!!! Next door but one the paper was successfully delivered to the back gate. That's dropped on the ground beside the back gate. We have rain and 20mph winds gusting to 40.
For both houses the letterbox is another 10 feet to walk.
Our delivery has been late (3.00pmish), failed or sodden on five of the last six occasions. 😪
