Well it's another sunny day here and even the winds dropped to just a light breeze Of to the city today, need a few bits and pieces and the shops around here are not up to much, OK for day to day but that's about all, so a bit of a mooch around and lunch out somewhere, See what looks good as I wander around.

Off to Weymouth Sea Life Centre on the train. Fortunately it is a bright sunny morning so there should be some glorious views of the countryside on the journey. Granddaughter is very excited, she read a picture book about the blue whale last night and is hoping to see one 😂

Grandson and his BM are being dropped off soon. We're going to the Sk8 Park on Bedford Road. Whilst he does BMX stuff, I'll walk the dogs nearby where they'll receive lessons from the squirrels in running up trees.

I have long arisen!

Stormy night but Bruce and I were snug and warm. Up and out at 0530hrs. The storm was still in and the weather brutal at 1700ft ASL but it was worth it.

Now down in Buxton seeking breakfast. 8 miles done already.

Dry again here although a bit overcast.

Had breakfast, two coffees and a bit of YouTube and the washing up is done and the Bh is cooking the Quince I got on Monday (it's a bit past it's best but will make some compot to have in porridge ).

Got some stuff ready for next week-ends break and ordered next months prescription.

Will start doing the fork swap on the All Road as well.

Salut.
Off to my u3a French speaking session in a minute and then, possibly a quick ride after lunch.

I answered an advert for "french lessons given" once. It was on a card in a phone box.
For some reason the lady was only wearing undies and couldnt actually speak French, very strange.

Rudely awoken at 9.30am by the neighbours chainsaw cutting some logs.

Damp and drizzly for a change.

I need to de-leave the gutters as the rain is overflowing in parts - I am less than enthusiastic about this task.

We are besides ourselves with excitement at awaiting the budget announcement today - not!

Nothing really planned - struggling to find things to do, other than housey stuff in this grim weather. Does anyone else have this problem?

Enjoy your day and I hope the macro-financial shenanigans are kind to you.

Back from my Aldi dash. Shelves were well stocked and few customers about.
I got everything I needed plus......I wanted a box of fruit/ice cream lollies but the only one there had a damaged box.....the guy gave me 50% off and as the contents were undamaged that was a win for Dave.

Being on ones own can be challenging on dark wet days. I/we used to enjoy getting wrapped up and braving the weather but I give that a miss nowadays.
I always said I would not watch daytime TV and while I have stuck with that it may change over the coming winter.

I went out with 2 girls from Buxton. Do me a favour and look them up.
One was called Fag Ash Lil and the other was Vinegar Vera......nice girls. A bit rough around the edges but good hearts.
