Good morning from a dark dry Dorset. Awake early and couldn't settle so decamped to the couch. Mrs Tkk's taking granddaughter back to London has resulted in the purchase of a " Sharkninja cordless handheld vacuum cleaner ". Our son has one and she was quite taken with its utility so I was tasked with purchasing similar. I did my usual procedure of registering an account with the manufacturer, and lo and behold I received an email with an offer of a £20 discount. I then noticed a discount for over 55's so snagged that too. Total cost £50.99 with free postage and a 2 year warranty 👍. A bit early for coffee as the machines built in grinder is a bit loud and might wake Mrs Tkk.

I'm after a hand held vacuum cleaner, too. I've tried a few but they've been rubbish.

On Sunday we took the SteamRail trip to Geelong. The train was hauled by A2 locomotives number 986 built in Victoria in 1915.
We had a nice lunch at a pub on the waterfront after which we met a cycle tourist with a well loaded bike. He said he was from Montana and had been riding around the world for two and a half years and was catching the ferry to Tasmania next.

I have nowt to do today. All jobs have been jobbed, I showered and shaved yesterday (with not w***ing I dont need to shave every day).
I really must get a walk in. My legs have been refusing to work lately so I need to remind them who's the boss.

True fact.
I clearly remember, when i was 14/15ish the Doctor telling me "with the type of hair you have you will never go bald". For whatever reason that has been the case. My SiL is like you. My Bro is 82 with a big mop of hair.....I wonder why that happens.

Thing is I always had it short in the Army, and then right down to the bone, twice weekly number zero, in the dibble so sheetbags couldn't grab it in a fight. Therefore it wasn't at all obvious id gone bald until id retired and tried to grow it out. Now I just number 1 it weekly.

I save a fortune by doing my own for the past 30 years; previous to that I got it done for free as a sponsorship deal with a local barber.
