I remember sitting in the bar of the Moffat House Hotel a few years ago listening to the barman and two locals droning on about golf for ages.

After a while they changed on to local pubs that had closed. Whilst discussing one pub up in the hills somewhere the barman lamented, "aye, the breathyliser killed that place."

stupid postman left gate open when he knocked on door, so Fred dashed round to the neighours' house and attacked his dog ! Fred hates the dog, strange as he gets on with other dogs.
