I think he'd prefer 90% Absinthe... :becool:
The strongest that I've found is 89.9%

I wonder if 90% is banned....

Vern, that's the 3rd ganache covered chocolate cake in as many weeks... what happened to the diet you were following?

I'm having a gap year.

Final update:

Bake a chocolate cake
Paint some fence panels
Make some chocolate ganache
Sort out a mini cycling adventure in France at Easter.
Put a bottle of Muscadet in the fridge to chill
Coating the chocolate cake with the cooled ganache.
Testing my Thermarest for leaks
Celebrate being in Yorkshire
Celebrate not being in Lancashire
Having a lie down to recover from the celebrations

Watching Metropolis after my lie down
Drinking some chilled Muscadet during the watching of Metropolis.
Wonder where today has gone.
Remember where today has gone.
Re-celebrate not being in Lancashire.

After my lie down I took notice of @I like Skol's advice and dropped the pace and consorted with the green fairy. We got a bit too intimate and things ground to a halt.

Today's activities:

Find the unwatched Metropolis DVD and put it back in it's case.
Try to remember where yesterday evening went.
Celebrate the survival of the Muscadet - it will make a fine companion for the unmolested chocolate cake
Re-celebrate not being in Lancashire.
Leave the absinthe alone.

A Minging Manc...
I'm sore and stiff today after not going on Colin's ride! When we returned from the visit to Slattery's on Saturday my youngest son wanted to do some tricks on his scooter........

I am proud to say that I cleared the house brick. Unfortunately the landing didn't go so well and I am now sporting a lovely 4" long gravel rash up my right forearm, my lower spine is tender and if I could see behind me I think my right buttock would be the shade of an evil thunder cloud.

I'm going to have to stop not doing these long forum rides. At my age my body just can't take it

I think it may be a tad quiet in here today, what with half the forum members disappearing off to Lancashire.

This thread gives those of us that aren't taking part in the ride a chance to talk about the participants behind their backs and record for history what we did the day Colin made his famous comeback appearance

I'll set the ball rolling....

I have just finished a 12hr night shift so I'm going to bed. When I get up I will be going to Slattery's for afternoon tea :hungry:
Slattery's Whitefield ?

Lucky man if so.

you wouldn't recognise it. The odd soft southern pussy has emigrated 'up', they stand out like a sore thumb... well, the ones that don't dissolve in the rain do :rain:
Gave Dolly the sheep & her friends a rest though ...

And Shandy sales plummeted ...

Daaarrnn Saaaarrff ...

And on the sixth day...
