Why a slurry tanker?

Who knows. They have an old Volvo water bowser to damp they track down. Maybe they used this (not filled with slurry!) for the track, too, at some point.

We used to have a little red Massey on the farm. A bit easier to start than the previous grey Fergie.

At my work we recently had a need to ‘fell’ a lamppost on Private land; that had been hit by a stolen car - and left in a precarious state. My ‘friend’ runs a scrap-yard just down the road - so he sent one of his guys along - and after some weakening cuts: his grab “lowered” it to floor level…….

This must be a few springs back now 🤔
As I haven't ploughed any ground for over four years - I try to avoid it and do minimal tillage instead in the name of soil ecology / carbon retention etc.

I miss doing it though - it's very satisfying if you can get it straight .
