I was out today doing a bit of winter garden tidying and cutting back. It was a bit nippy. but not cold enough to freeze the stinky cat crap that I stepped in.
There is now a weather warning for here
Include Snow - maybe even was much as a centimetre or so
and if we are getting it this close to teh Mersey and only a few feet above the high watermark - and in a dip
then the rest of the country will be sure to be totally buried under 2-3 inches
better clear off the upper storey windows so you have an escape route!!
We got snowed on when taking Bertie for a walk this morning myself and Mrs W. We were about a mile to East of Pickering. There was snow under foot and all the hills to East looked well wintery, to West it looked like a spring day.
Grabbed two bags of grit from Wickes - only 5 left ! Just popped some grit down on the path and side of the drive, and it's started snowing. Road went white immediately as it's so cold. Turbo trainer is set up, but I've lost the handlebar mount for my laptop. Will just have to use the 'workbench'.
Makes my 1.8 degrees in the garage seem tropical. It’s been a while since I’ve not need the fan on and probably the first ever turbo session done in knee warmers.
I've been an ice scaredy cat and not cycled outside. I've cycled in similar conditions before, keeping off small lanes, with no trouble but I'm getting to be more of a worry guts these days.
