I have to report that it is officially winter!!

Yes - the frost warning light in the car came on today!
Drove from Wakefield, via Flockton, to Cooper Bridge (near jct25/M62), & at places the outside temperature was showing as 0 to 0.5 c
With a few icy patches where water was standing/flowing on the road

We had a brief snow flurry here, about 20:00, enough to turn my car white

Additional scattering overnight. Very cold and frozen. WFH today, but if it continues like this, I've no meetings in the diary for tomorrow, so may continue to WFH !

There's not much more than a single flake deep covering of snow here, being so chilly some of it might even last 24 hours!😱

About 1/2 inch of now here. Other than the odd twit driving around in an igloo most motorists appear to be taking it sensibly.

Did see the bloke next door going out this morning with his rear window totally covered

It is a Porsche - maybe he has a camera or something

but you do see some plonkers looking through a keyhole

Dilemma of the day...

Can I be bothered to fit my pair of 38mm 45nrth Gravdal spiked tyres to my hybrid and go for a short ride in the rare Hampshire snow?

They would fit my ebike too, but the rear wheel is more faff for something that won't be needed for long.

Or do I just look out of the window every now and again throughout the day and think how lovely it looks, while I'm nice and warm inside, perhaps doing the odd bit of cycling on the turbo trainer?

I really don't miss working outside in weather like this, not that it happened often, but being on delivery for 4-5 hours in subzero is no fun!
