From living on Wirral in my teens '85-'92, I'd struggle to remember snow falling, nevermind sticking.

I remember one year - probably early 1980s as I was walking to the station - when we had a lot of snow and there was a huge raft of it on teh junction by Moreton station for many weeks

I also remember a lot of time when I was jealous because I found my friends in Thingwall had been out sledging on the hill in Arrow Park and we didn;t even think of it because there was not even a single flake near us
and I did go through at least 3 sledges over the years
including one blue one made of steel (?) tubing that went like greased lighting after my Dad suggested rubbing the runner with an old candle!!!

so if did snow - but most of that was in the 1970s probably except for the walking to the station bit

A danger to life warning!

Sadly, mthe great British public hears that as, "slip on the bald tyres, go for an unnecessary drive while wearing only shorts and flip flops, hade a pint of gin to warm up, and ignore the warning light thats just come up on the dashboard."
