And the 185 version of the D5 was a stoater in the V50.

Never really keen on the v59 basically a ford focus and ride was awful tbh not like a v70 at all.

My Octavia rides better than. My mate has one.
Although Volvo saw fit to bestow the V50 with a nice selection of petrol and diesel 5 pots for those that shuddered at the thought of 4 cylinder Ford/PSA power.

When l bought my Octavia estate, back in May 2011, we looked at a friends V50
It was the primary choice, but then a shiny black Skoda was seen
As stated at the beginning of this thread, it stayed with us until March 2021
It had a remap, partway through its tenure
Originally; 180 lb/ft(?) & 106BHP
Afterwards; 250 Ib/ft & 150BHP
Essentially a 1.6TDi equivalent of the original vRS (with the 1.8 petrol turbo)

EDIT; Friday 19th @ 16:18
My stated figures above, were from memory, so they're wrong!

Mines 236 / 140 goes well enough.

V50 is slightly smaller too.
