I do cycle it some days but 2 of the five days are split site working and another day I pick up my daughter from school......

Mrs D has a bit of a journey today so overnight I charged the EX40 brim full of electrons. We normally keep it between about 30 and 80% (in reality a little less than that as there is 8% or so of the battery you can't access, which acts as a buffer for any age degradation) but overnight I whacked it on a long full charge. The handbook says to do so periodically to "balance the cells" so it seemed a good opportunity to do Volvo's bidding.

Same here. My Renault 5 is set to charge to 80% normally but occasionally I’ll fill ‘er up - for example I’m doing a 200 mile round trip today so it’s brimmed to allow for contingency.

It's important, for sure, at least my readings convince me so. I recommend 'Janet & John try to open their Tesla's Charging Port'. A classic.

...and for both the i3 & Tesla 3 I simply bung the charging cable in, in ole' fashioned 'fill her up' mode.

Mrs D is a very clever lady, a BSc. Hons holder and qualified teacher, but is not au fait with physics. I was able to successfully tell her that a battery was essentially a tank that we filled up with electrons, which were like an extremely fine powder.

She almost believed me, but I blew it one day when I playfully chided her for leaving a wall socket switched on and said that it runs a risk of electrons spilling all over the carpet.

So, the old battle bus is ill, I took it in for its annual MOT and service. It had been sat for about 10 days and pre "rest" was running sweet.
I mentioned to the tech on the phone that I'm using/losing a little power steering fluid, could this be investigated as we're off on our annual camping trip towing etc. No problem....I start her up and there's a rumble/rough running, similar to no PS fluid(I check and all is fine with levels)....after the work and me mentioning it, he said he couldn't find anything wrong......12 days later and nearly a thousand miles later it is worse however, no loss of power, gear selection/change is fine and no issues shifting.....the odd thing is if I'm on a roundabout and the weight is on the front left the issue totally goes away and the car is back to normal....any ideas hive mind...??
It's booked back in for Wednesday.
