the Whole CD is stunning , but strangely each piece can stand alone.
 


I first heard that version on John Peel, & his words after it are still in my head

"It's the barely suppressed anger that makes that record so great"

It was in his 'Festive 50', in the year of its release, & I think, in his top-100
I've still got my 12" single of it




That was going to be a suggestion of mine, an absolutely superb track

How about his 'Christmas 1914'??
