I'm lucky as the winds will be SW which will be almost head on on my trip home so no side gusts to worry about. and it's worth is as I had a Great ride in this mornng

Yesterday the weatherman played a cruel joke on me, and promised sunshine in the afternoon. Oh how I laughed...

Today went for a quick Box Hill reps set, and had a hilarious time. One of the zigs required no pedaling at all to maintain upward travel. Unfortunately, the other two went straight into the headwind, so not a PB day

Tried going up a 12% hill this morning with a 25mph headwind on my cross bike. BIG MISTAKE. I could hardly get the thing moving. Eventually made it to the top, but boy was I knackered. Coming down again the same way with the wind behind me was also quite *fun*, especially with the wet roads.

Time for me to break out the turbo I think.

The enemy and I have been on a short break this week, just outside of Bath we took the bikes. On Tuesday the enemy decides we will cycle down to Bath from Colerne. It's raining says I, I'm going anyway says she, so I MTFU and get all clobbered up and down to Bath we go, before we got 200 yards I'm soaked through, even with the waterproof gear on, and the rain is so hard it's stinging my eyes! There are torrents of water coming down the banks and steps on the side of the road, surface water was an inch deep in places! I have never been so wet with clothes on. We went to Johns bike shop in Bath, and they let us get changed and leave our gear there to dry, whilst we went shopping, which was nice.
