A bit of thunder and splots of rain this afternoon in Andover (work), but Basingstoke (Bolletta ice skating) was warm and sunny this evening - because that's how Basingstoke rolls!

I love cycling in the warm and I love it more the older I get - I can even handle the humidity. The down side is that my days of riding in the cold and rain are probably over. I'll usually hit the turbo instead.

Many apologies, I appear to have brought the thunderstorms back from Kefallonia with me! :surrender:

I had the misfortune of being in a plane which was trying to land in Manchester during the storm. I was slightly perturbed when even the Pilot seemed a bit concerned about landing in it .

Luckily we got down after circling the Peak District 3 times whilst we waited for a gap in the weather and missed the worst of it. A number of planes ended up in Birmingham and East Mids instead I believe.

Urgh its too hot here in London for my liking in my 2nd floor flat/furnace.

Its 10pm at night, both windows open full, fan on full tilt and its still 28 degrees centigrade in my room, its going to be a rubbish nights sleep for me.

Reminds me of the when I visited Thailand and spent the first few days flabbergasted it could be so hot when it was dark. I am actually looking forward to some rain and cooler temps, bring it on.

It has been a gorgeous summer here.
They must have handed the summer franchise to the wrong rail company. It's not so much that summer's been gorgeous, it's more that its timetable is completely haywire. Winter never bit, spring lasted into mid summer and autumn's enjoyable. If the weather doesn't catch up with itself soon we'll be having a white Easter.

The weather bods said yesterday that the night time temperature tonight is the same as the average day time temperature for September!

I may never need a jumper ever again it seems. On my last 2 visits to Wales to see my parents I've not even taken a jacket with me, in fact on my last trip I did'nt even take anything long sleeved and did'nt regret it, totally unheard of. Its all gone mad.

We've had one, '94. Knee deep in snow at times doing the MLTB training(summer).
