Miles and miles and miles and miles of 50 mph limit on the M1 with bugger all sign of any actual work going on for most of it.

Of particular note was the 50 mph limit from Jct 28 to 31 for "new equipment commissioning" even though all 4 lanes were open and there wasn't a cone in sight...

I had the 28 to 31 thing on Easter Sunday. Stuck at 50mph on a perfectly clear road with barely another car in sight. Pointless.

They have just turned the M6 near Manchester Airport in to a car park for the next two years as well.

My shoes set the detector off at the airport. I have worn these shoes and walked through that detector at least 20 times in the last year. They are my special air travel shoes.
