The wind has finally broken me

Try varying your route and adding a loop in to the commute. That way you'll know you can take advantage of the tailwind at some point. It also helps to take your mind off the wind when doing an unfamiliar journey.
I've got quite a few different routes and I find it works for me if you know you'll be rewarded at some point.

Being on the edge of the Fens we seem to have permanent windy days at times..
as @screenman said the damn wind seem to move with you so you are head wind out and back..
Move here to the other edge... nope, it's just the same :wacko:

Went to see my mum earlier and the wind blew the car door shut on my finger, one black nail and a throbbing finger :cursing:
Another thing you learn in the fens: never ever let go of an open car door. If you're lucky, it'll slam. If you're unlucky, it'll bend hinges and hit something :sad:
